Gee Cartwright Cookery
Let me introduce myself, I am a married mother of three boys and have a lifelong passion for cooking. After I finished university and a stint in London, I returned to Hampshire with my husband and children, where I established my cookery demonstration business. I have always believed that cooking should be a fun and enjoyable experience, so after years of  friends requesting my recipes and praising my cooking, filling their freezers, catering for small parties and entertaining at house parties, I finally decided to turn my passion into a business demonstrating the techniques and recipes I love.
My ethos is to showcase delicious, inspiring and beautifully presented family-friendly and seasonal food using locally sourced ingredients. My recipes are designed with busy home cooks in mind, offering top tips on getting ahead, ingredient substitutions, freezing and making entertaining as relaxing as possible.
Fourteen years on, I am now sharing my passion and knowledge through ever more popular demonstrations, which are held from my home in Hampshire near Stockbridge and because I understand not everyone is able to attend I also offer private demonstrations for groups or one-to-ones as well as AGA tutorials nationwide.

I run my cookery demonstrations in a warm, relaxed, and friendly atmosphere right here in my home kitchen, so you can feel completely at ease from the moment you arrive — just like popping round to a friend’s house for a chat and a bite to eat.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the session (no question is too small or silly!), and I actively encourage everyone to join in with the conversation. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced home cook looking for fresh inspiration, you’ll feel supported and never rushed.
There’s always generous time built in for tasting — because let’s be honest, that’s one of the best parts! You’ll get to sample everything we make, often straight from the pan while it’s still warm and full of flavour, so you can really appreciate the textures, tastes, and little tricks that make each dish special.
Along the way, I share lots of my favourite practical top tips: clever ways to prepare ahead so you’re not stressed on the day, smart freezing techniques that save time and preserve quality, and advice on sourcing the best ingredients — whether that’s finding brilliant local suppliers, choosing budget-friendly alternatives, or knowing what to look for in the supermarket.
My aim is simple: by the time you leave, you’ll feel confident recreating the dishes at home, armed with new ideas, handy shortcuts, and a big smile from a lovely morning or afternoon spent cooking, tasting, and chatting together.

Recipies
All my recipes are lovingly created around fresh, seasonal produce, so every dish celebrates the very best that each season has to offer. I believe that cooking with ingredients at their natural peak makes all the difference — not just in taste, but in nutrition and enjoyment too.
By choosing fruits and vegetables that are harvested right when they're at their ripest and most flavourful, we get brighter colours, deeper, more vibrant tastes, and a real burst of natural sweetness or earthiness that you simply can't match with out-of-season imports. Think juicy summer tomatoes that taste like sunshine, crisp autumn apples with that perfect crunch, or tender spring greens full of life — these are the stars of every demonstration.
This approach means the dishes are packed with more nutrients too: vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are at their highest when produce is fresh-picked and hasn't spent days or weeks in transit. You'll learn how to make the most of what's abundant and affordable right now, creating healthier, more delicious meals that feel exciting and varied throughout the year.
I also love how seasonal cooking keeps things fresh and inspiring in the kitchen — no more boring the same old ingredients! My recipes adapt beautifully to what's available locally, encouraging you to shop mindfully, support nearby growers when possible, and discover new favourites along the way.
Whether we're whipping up a vibrant summer salad, a comforting winter root vegetable roast, or a zesty spring herb-packed dish, you'll leave with practical, adaptable recipes that bring the joy of the seasons straight to your table — and make everyday cooking feel special and effortless.
